The Velvet Story
A house built on water, and silence
Velvet Moments began in Boka Bay, in a shipping family's office where charter contracts were drawn by hand and no client was ever named aloud. What started as favours for a few principals — a birthday at anchor, a wedding on a fortress island — became a discipline: the composition of private marine celebrations at a level the hospitality industry is not structured to deliver.
We are not a booking platform and not an event agency. We are an atelier of fewer than twenty people, working with vetted captains, Michelin-starred kitchens, close-protection teams and berth masters across the Mediterranean, the Americas, the Gulf and the Indian Ocean. Each programme is written once, for one family, and never repeated.
Discretion is not a service line here — it is the architecture. No guest name, vessel registration or venue address leaves the studio, in any form, at any point. That is why our clients do not write reviews, and why we publish numbers instead of names.
The methodology
Four movements, from first word to open water
The private brief
A single conversation, held under mutual NDA, establishes the shore, the season, the guest architecture and the threshold of exposure you will accept.
Composition
Two to three distinct concept directions are written — not mood boards, but hour-by-hour flows with vessel class, crew ratio, power plan and weather alternates.
Quiet procurement
Captains, chefs, berths and venue principals are approached directly. Your name never appears in an enquiry; the atelier contracts on your behalf.
Execution and erasure
A named director runs the programme on the water. Afterwards, working files are destroyed and only anonymised metrics survive.
